Makin' Socan

It's SOCAN week at CJSR, which means we are playing as much Canadian content as possible, so this week's show is an awesome 100% Canadian! Yeah! It's also a great reason to play music from my favourite almost-local band, Reverie Sound Revue...not only did Colin fall in love with it immediately, we even had a caller which is always a sign things are going well.

Alpha Baby - You Gentle Crustacean - Mother's Union
the Painted Birds - So Much For The Rain - All I Can Do
Small Sins - Mood Swings - On the Line
Paul Arnusch - Get Out Of Your Basement - I Don't Want to Go Back Down
Whitey Houston - s/t - Liarbird
Mark Birtles Project - Art Crime - Pyramids
Reverie Sound Revue - EP - It's All the Same
Blue Sky Addicts - CBC Radio 3: Breaking New Sound - End of the Beginning

Hector Fector - Oak & Elm Festival 2007 promo - Let's Make Friends

If you aren't up to any Halloween related shenanigans this Saturday the 27th, maybe you should think about checking out the Oak & Elm Festival down at the Blackspot Cafe (15120A Stony Plain Rd)....it's going from 11Am to Midnight. There are tons of great local acts on the bill, so get out there and support your scene! Hell, you should even dress up.

Stay tuned for next week's Halloween show, where we will have a special guest in!
Guess how I won't be dressed....

ugh.....that was a bad night....and it wasn't even Halloween.
