FunDrive! 2007! Yeah!

FunDrive is the most magical time all year at CJSR, better than even any denominational holiday! It's a time when all the volunteers at the station come together with the common
goal of raising money for the station, like tiny ants feeding their queen...at any cost. Look at all the volunteer/ant minions in the early hours of FunDrive day 1!
Colin was even lucky enough to receive a balloon creature from the benevolent Powermannn of Kamikaze Komedy fame.

During this awesome promo shot (the first time Colin and I have been caught on film in the same room) Colin asked, "Should we look badass?" The answer, should you ever ask that yourself, is always, always look badass. Yikes!

Oh look! A live shot of the Vertical Struts record actually being played on the radio while the magnificent Herbie Mann looks on and approves of the grooves.

Things got super crazy for our FunDrive show, but Colin and I are happy to report that we raised $1743.50 to the CJSR cause! Thanks to everyone who phoned in and pledged! You keep us from becoming another morning zoo (cue toilet flush), so my endless thanks to all of you.
In the end, CJSR has met and surpassed its goal of $125, 000 and reached a final total of $129, 000! Rad! So thanks again to all our listeners and local sponsors! Makin' Whoopee saw some guest appearances by other CJSR volunteers like dj wetspot, fresh-from-Ireland Mike B, and even the mighty Daryl Richel. It was pretty nuts.
